My New Radio Show & Exciting News

I’ve launched a new radio show!

It’s called Savvy, Soulful & Successful, featuring visionary women entrepreneurs who are here to speak their true message, shine their light in business, and amplify their income and impact for the benefit of all.

My first guest interview is my wonderful colleague Sara Clark-Williams, Founder and CEO of Fab Fempreneurs. Like me, Sara left the corporate world a number of years ago to start her own business–and create more freedom and impact in her life!

Sara is a delightfully passionate and compassionate business coach. She has now run two highly profitable businesses and guides her clients to what she calls “the sweet spot” of their business–where you’re most focused, fulfilled, and financially successful.

Listen in on our 30-minute radio interview here.

This fall, Sara is hosting a fabulous event for women entrepreneurs called Fab Fempreneur Fest, and I’m honored to be one of the breakout speakers here!

Here’s why I’m recommending Fest 2019 and why I believe it’s different from the jillions of other business-building conferences out there:

1) First off, it’s not a pitch fest. You’ll walk away with a renewed business vision and a clearly-mapped out strategic plan for your next level in business. Sara is a master in this.

2) You’ll have get-it-done time during the event, so you’re in action right away–and not leaving the event with an overwhelming to-do list.

3) The caliber of women Sara attracts is high vibe and high impact. You will meet, connect and bond with other amazing women entrepreneurs who could potentially become clients, collaborators, or visionary friends who hold you accountable and only see the highest and best in you.

4) The setting is drop-dead gorgeous. You will be inspired in this retreat-like venue and have of plenty of right-brain creative time and bodily recharge time during the event. So you leave feeling refreshed and in your glorious feminine power!

I hope to see you there!

I’m Celebrating Something Special Today

Six years ago TODAY, March 13, I officially started my business full-time! 🎉

After a 25-year corporate marketing career, I finally said “yes” to a longtime dream of having my own business, and what a wonderful (and at times, painful and humbling) ride it’s been.

Here are 3 valuable lessons I’ve learned so far:

Lesson #1: It starts with the willingness to say “YES” to the dream and then backing up that decision with immediate action. Seven months prior to devoting my full-time work hours to my business, I sat in a counselor’s office painfully aware that I was not living my dream. That day I said “YES” to this business. I didn’t know all the steps. I didn’t know how it was going to happen. I didn’t have a business plan, or a marketing plan. Heck, at the time, I didn’t even know what the business was going to be!

But I said “yes” to my inner calling, followed the nudges of my heart, and took the steps I knew to take in each moment. And, voila, the path unfolded. The path is still unfolding, and I continue to remind myself to say “yes” even when the pathway seems mysterious or unknown.

Lesson #2: It’s essential to ask for and receive support, invest in myself through coaches, mentors and trainings, AND it’s equally and even MORE essential to invest in, trust in and follow my own inner guidance. Even if it means doing the exact opposite of what the experts say. Even if it means turning people off, or getting unfollows or unsubscribes.

My inner guide is the boss.

Lesson #3: Love is the most important aspect in my entire business. Who I’m being in each moment, the presence I bring into my actions, my interactions with others, and how I operate things is the single most important ingredient. I’ve had many vulnerable, painful and humiliating experiences since becoming an entrepreneur, and when I let Love lead the way, things flow smoother and there’s a spaciousness to hold it all.

Daily, it all boils down to this very simple question of alignment for me:

Am I being the presence of Love in this moment, or am I in fear?

How Can I Help You?
Today, six years later, I’m grateful and humbled that I’ve created a thriving business, doing work I love, working with clients I love, and having a schedule and abundant lifestyle I love.

I’ve now had the good fortune to work with hundreds of soul-inspired entrepreneurs and professionals, teaching and coaching them how to clarify and communicate their message to their ideal clients, so they can create their desired income and impact.

And I particularly LOVE supporting women entrepreneurs to be radiant on stage with a riveting signature talk that positions them as a leader in their field, gives them maximum visibility, attracts their most perfect clients–all to unleash the abundance in their business.

Thank you for being part of my community. I truly honor and celebrate you for your love, support, and encouragement over the years, and especially for you shining your light in your own special way.

Are These Common Pitfalls Blocking Your Money Flow?

Boogie boarding has become one of my favorite new habits. As I was out on the ocean last week riding the waves with dear friends, we all shared how amazing our lives are and how much appreciation we feel for being able to do this during a work week.

At the same time that I feel so much joy and gratitude for my own life, I can also feel heartbroken when I tune into the enormous suffering and hardships people are enduring right now in every corner of the world.

It’s an interesting paradox to hold and be with it ALL, and it reminds me to continue doing everything I can to be more compassionate, for myself and others.

With the new energy of Autumn, let’s hit “refresh” and talk about 4 common pitfalls that may be blocking your money flow.

Common Pitfall #1 – No clear vision about what you want to create in your life, or you’re fuzzy on the details.

In the 1910 classic The Science of Getting Rich, the author says, “You must know what you want, and be definite. You can never get rich, or start the creative power into action, by sending out unformed longings and vague desires.”

When I worked with a fabulous energy coach last month to clarify my vision and create a new vision board for my office, I had one of my highest grossing months ever.

Action: So where do you need to clarify and energize your vision? As a first step, look at these 4 main areas and pick one to renew or vitalize for the new season:

•Time/Money Freedom

•Relationships

•Health & Wellbeing

•Business/Career

Power Tip: In addition to getting clear on what you want, get clear on WHY you want it. Putting the power of PURPOSE in your vision amplifies it even more.

Common Pitfall #2Engaging in one or all of the 3 deadly C’s—complaining, criticizing or comparing.

Each time you complain, criticize or compare yourself to another, you move further away from the revenue, new clients, or new opportunities you desire.

Ack!

I’m definitely guilty here. So my practice is to mindfully watch my words and thoughts and be compassionate when I get off track.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Stand guard at the portal of your mind.”

The best way I know to stay consciously aware of my thoughts and feelings is to first of all, notice them; then breathe and be with them; then shift them through physical movement, affirmations and gratitude.

From The Science of Getting Rich, “Gratitude will lead your mind out along the ways by which things come; and it will keep you in in close harmony with creative thought and prevent you from falling into competitive thought.”

Action: What’s 1 specific way you can amp up your gratitude and appreciation practice? Gratitude keeps you on the vibration of all the good you seek.

Common Pitfall #3Not taking inspired action toward what you desire to create in your business and life.

You may find that you’re taking action, but not gaining traction—which can feel like you’re spinning your wheels or look like you’re not getting the results you want in your bank account or business bottom line.

I believe one of the biggest underutilized resources in our businesses is our intuition. We’ve been trained to follow what authority figures or the experts say to do, and we often ignore or second-guess our own inner wisdom.

This can often show up for you when you say to yourself, “I should do such and such.” That’s usually your ego talking or someone else’s advice you’re trying to follow—and not the voice of your higher self.

But when you take action from an inspired place and follow those intuitive leads down to the smallest detail, you literally put yourself in the position to RECEIVE that which you have asked for.

That’s the magic of inspired action.

Action: What’s one inspired action you can take this week to increase your money flow and amplify your vision?

Common Pitfall #4Tolerating energy drains in your environment.

An energy drain is anything that is incomplete or piling up, or that you are tolerating.

For example, I’ve been tolerating a rusty gate that is literally starting to fall off the hinges in front of our house. It was my 8-year-old who woke me up when he asked me recently, “Why are you being lazy about getting a new gate?”

After getting over the shock of him calling me “lazy,” (!) I decided then and there to no longer tolerate a broken, rusty gate. So I’m happy to say that I’m in action now getting estimates for replacing it.

Action: Choose from the list below to handle at least one energy drain in your environment this weekend.

•Money clutter—disorganized or worn out wallet, unpaid bills, cancelling a service you no longer use, requesting money from someone who owes you

•Paperwork or mail clutter

•An important home repair

•Servicing your car

•A doctor’s appointment you’ve been putting off

•A “junk” drawer, room, closet or garage that needs cleaning out

Which one of these common pitfalls do you sense may be blocking or affecting your money flow?

Use the energy of the new season to uplevel one or more of these money-flow checkpoints, so that you can open up and receive an even greater abundant flow into your business and life!

Shining brightly,

Rebecca

3 Ways to Relax on the Money Rollercoaster Ride

3 Ways to Relax (and Enjoy!) the Money Rollercoaster Ride as a Conscious Entrepreneur

There’s a saying that “how you do money is how you do everything.”

And what stops most women from getting their gifts out into the world isn’t their passion, drive or commitment. It’s their relationship with money.

Why is that?

Because money is at the heart of every decision you make — in your life, your business or your career.

However, for most women, money is a source of fear, confusion and self-sabotage.

And it can often feel like one big fat rollercoaster ride!

But money doesn’t have to be a struggle.

In fact, money can be your most powerful ally, especially when you learn to take practical, mindful actions with money everyday while staying relaxed and present with your experience.

Here are three of my top recommendations to help you “power up” your relationship with money:

1) Set a Bold Money Goal every 60 days and be clear why this amount of money is important to you.

Are you someone who only has a vague notion of your money goal for the year and the next 60 days? Or is it a figure you keep only in your head?

Having a clear dollar figure as your goal that you write down on paper and look at everyday is my top recommendation for relaxing and enjoying the money rollercoaster ride.

Why is this important? Two main reasons: it activates your brain into asking, “So if this is my goal, what steps can I take today to reach it? Who can I call and email?”

It also sends a clear message to the Universe, which then begins to conspire on your behalf to bring you what you clearly ask for.

Then, write down your “why.” Why is this amount of money important to you? What will you do with it?

When you bridge your money goal (your “what”) with the meaning behind it (your “why”), that’s where the magic can happen.

2) Track your income every single day to the penny.

Money loves attention! I’ve personally experienced that when I pay attention to where my money goes, money flows and GROWS.

Start by tracking your income every single day to the penny. I give all my clients “money tracking sheets” to put on their desks or post in a visible place.

Money tracking is an amazing practice that keeps you mindful of your money—and empowered to take the necessary action steps to increase what’s coming in and be conscious of what’s going out.

For many women, it can become all too easy to ignore your finances, or to go to the other extreme and be obsessive-compulsive about your numbers.

Tip: Set a recurring appointment time on your calendar at the end of your workday to track ALL sources of income that have come in that day.

This time is also the perfect opportunity to express appreciation for the money that comes in, and the value and meaning that expression has for you!

3) Start to notice your thoughts about money — and how you feel when you think those thoughts.

One of my favorite sentences in The Science of Getting Rich, written by Wallace Wattles in 1910, is this:

“The thoughts you think about money and how you feel when you think those thoughts directly relate to the flow of money in your life.”

So when you have automatic or reactive thoughts like “I can’t afford it” or “it’s too expensive” or you notice that tight feeling in your belly when you really want to buy something that seems out of your price range, become aware of that sensation in your body and the thoughts you are having.

Stop. Pause. Take a deep breath, and notice what’s there. Get curious.

When you can begin to notice what you’re noticing, that’s the first step in shifting from a reactive pattern around money to consciously responding to the “money moment” at hand.

This is good time to journal what you’re noticing and talk to a trusted friend, coach or mentor, as a way to begin reclaiming your power from the money trigger.

You’ll find that as you “gather yourself” and take back your power, you’re in a much better place to mindfully take the next step around money and begin to claim your financial freedom — in your business and life!

These 3 daily actions can make or break your business (and your dreams)

These 3 daily actions can make or break your biz (and your dreams)

There’s a saying I love by W. Clement Stone: “Big doors swing on little hinges.”

When you apply this to your business, it’s the little, yet consistent actions and habits that swing open wide the doors of income and opportunity for you.

In Sanskrit, the word for “habit” is called samskara. (Thanks to my yoga teacher who shared this with me the other day.) When we cultivate a new positive habit or samskara, our lives truly do transform before our eyes.

So here are the 3 daily actions in the areas of money, marketing and mindset to grow your business, your bank account, and your impact on your clients and community.

These are my personal practices, so I wouldn’t highly recommend them if I haven’t already given them a test run and KNOW they work.

Focus on these three areas each and every workday, and I guarantee you will skyrocket your success:

1) Money: Track your numbers every single day to the penny.

Tracking the inflow and outflow of your money is an amazing practice that keeps you mindful of your money—and empowered to take the necessary action steps to increase what’s coming in and be conscious of what’s going out.

For many women, it can become all too easy to ignore our finances, or to go to the other extreme and be obsessive-compulsive about our numbers.

Action: Set a recurring appointment time on your calendar each day when you write down or use a spreadsheet to track everything that has come in that day and everything that has gone out. (I do my tracking everyday at 2:30pm.)

This time is also the perfect opportunity to express appreciation—another powerful daily practice—for the inflow and outflow of money, and the value and meaning that expression has for you!

Bonus Tip: Set a weekly money date for bill paying, and schedule it as a recurring appointment on your calendar. I have my weekly “money date” on Friday mornings.

2) Marketing: Spend a minimum of 30 minutes each and every day making outreach calls to potential clients.

This one simple action has made a HUGE difference in the growth of my business. Use this 30-minute block of time to make calls, send emails and follow up with former, current and prospective clients for setting appointments and booking NEW business, or taking steps toward your big dreams.

Bonus Tip: Use a timer or hourglass to keep you focused on the project at hand and minimize distractions that are rife for many entrepreneurs who work from home. Set a timer for 30 or 60 minutes when you’re doing some critical (yet easy-to-avoid) business-building activity such as outreach phone calls, updating your website or writing a blog post.

3) Mindset: Set aside time daily (30 minutes at minimum, 1 hour is best) for spiritual nourishment and renewal.

This is perhaps the most important action of them all, as it promotes a calm mind and a feeling of being centered and grounded throughout your day–something you definitely want to feel when you’re marketing your business or tracking your money!

This time can include a combination of personal introspection, quiet time, yoga, meditation, journaling, a contemplative walk in nature, gardening, mindful movement, reading or listening to inspirational material, or other activities that strengthen your inner wellbeing and help you feel peaceful.

I’m a morning person so I like to get up before my family does to have a dedicated hour-plus time for meditation, visioning, journaling and reading from a book that contributes to my spiritual and personal growth. I also read my 3-Year Life Vision Plan each morning while making coffee and doing standing stretches in the kitchen.

Bonus Tip: Choose the 1-3 nourishing activities that truly feed YOU (not the ones that others are doing or the ones you think you SHOULD do) and then stick with it. Again, the key is consistency. Put it in your calendar and just do it. No excuses. 🙂

Be patient with yourself as you’re installing these new healthy habits or samskaras into your life. Don’t give up—and, eventually, they will become part of your normal routine.

Plus, you’ll feel great knowing that you are not only doing something that takes care of yourself, but also benefits your family, your friends, your clients, your community, and your bank account!
