⭐3 ways you will shine on stage⭐

We all want to shine when we’re speaking on stage–and stand out in our glorious, authentic brilliance.
Not too many years ago I used to wonder over and over again: Oh, what’s so special about me? How DO I stand out from others? How do I get noticed and be seen as a credible expert in my field?
Until one day I realized this simple truth: I am me.
And by being fully me, this is what makes me special. How I stand out is by fully accepting who I am–my life experiences, my struggles, my triumphs, what I have and haven’t done, ALL of it–and allowing myself to be seen, which means showcasing my expertise AND my human weaknesses.
Here are 3 ways you will shine on stage and stand out as YOU:
#1 – Share your hero’s journey story with credibility, and also vulnerability.
Why be vulnerable? Because then you’re relatable.
Your courage to speak about a painful experience or struggle in your life, as part of your hero’s journey, is what creates an emotional bond with your audience.
No one has your story. And when you share it with clarity and discernment, your story has the power to open the hearts of your ideal audience, inspire them to examine and transform their own lives, and can literally activate the “buying brain” of your ideal clients.
#2 – Be the boss on stage. Show your edge, state your opinion, and share your unique perspective–unapologetically.
Most women are trained to be nice and polite. But on stage, when you only show your nice-and-polite side, you can come across as too soft or ineffective.
Showing your “edge”–that you’re the boss and leader with a clear opinion on your topic–will help you get respect, results and transformation from your audience.
A wise mentor of mine shared this transformative question to ask yourself: Am I willing to ruffle feathers if it means changing lives?
Being bossy on stage, along with displaying your care and compassion, is a powerful combo that has your ideal clients pay attention to you.
#3 – Speak from your lower belly, not your head.
Most speakers spend a ton of time preparing, practicing and perfecting their talks. They’re in their heads A LOT. But they overlook doing the inner embodiment work to create genuine and lasting connection with their audience.
This connection starts first with yourself. Becoming aware of your own energetic power center, which resides low and deep in your belly, is one of the first steps.
Your energetic presence is THE key to standing out and truly shining on stage. People hire you not so much because of the words you say, but how they FEEL around you.
When you are present and “home” in your body, you literally become magnetic to your audience, which creates the right kind of attention, visibility, clients and money you desire for your business.
Power Practice ===> Next time you’re about to take the “stage”–whether that’s at a business conference, a networking event, your living room, or on a Zoom call–take 3 slow and deep big breaths. Feel that breath coming all the way down into your lower belly, back down toward your spine. Imagine a ball of glowing light emanating from that space within you. This is “home”–your energetic power center, the seat of your magnetism. Then, when you’re speaking in front of a group, be aware of this part of you. Pausing and taking a breath is a simple way to reconnect.
Here’s to you shining on stage as brilliant YOU!
