✨My 2018 Recap + Theme for the New Year✨
Happy New Year!
I’m so grateful to have you as part of my community, my soul tribe. Thank you for being amazing, courageous, resilient YOU. And for 2019, I wish you an ocean of blessings, love and abundance.
Have you done your recap of 2018 yet? On New Year’s Day, I sat down and listed out the things I’m celebrating or acknowledging from the past year. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to do the same.
Here’s a quick recap:
✶ Celebrated my 50th birthday with dear best friends & family doing all the things I love–boogieboarding, farmer’s market, yoga in the backyard, eating yummy organic food cooked for me, and lots of bonding time
✶ Went to Hawaii with mentor Rachael Jayne Groover as part of her Feminine Leadership Mastery Program
✶ Taught 5 Speak Shine Sell Workshops, led 2 Speaking Success Circles, and 1 virtual class on “The Science of Getting Rich”
✶ Emceed 10 networking events, had 5 speaking engagements, guested on 2 radio shows and 1 podcast; and got 1 paragraph published in an actual physical book (hey, it’s a start!)
✶ Said YES to hosting my own radio show in 2019 called Savvy, Soulful & Successful on the Women Lead Radio platform (6 shows, 30 minutes each–another start!)
✶ Celebrated many client success stories: speaking on the big stage at the Mindshare Summit; getting picked to be a SUE Talk speaker; attending my Success Circle and booking 3 speaking engagements right away; getting aligned with true calling and completely shifting careers to the delight of her new clients; having the biggest revenue months ever; exceeding sales goals; manifesting a dream home; creating a new signature talk to deliver in 2019; sharing her personal story of transformation for the first time to a receptive audience, to name a handful.
✶ Celebrated 11 years of marriage to my amazing husband and also celebrated my precious son’s 10th birthday
✶ Attended 2 weddings and 2 funerals 🙁
✶ Relished 5 months of boogieboarding almost every week with an amazing group of gals and sometimes with my family
✶ Hired a business coach, did a sales training, and had a super fun photo branding session with the amazingly talented Ann Landstrom
✶ Traveled to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Ojai, the Bay Area, Dallas, Denver, Maui, the Big Island and LA
Not everything went my way, of course. There were big disappointments, frustrations, and deep sadness (especially with family losses).
✶ I headed down the wrong direction a few times (darn that “should” voice).
✶ I didn’t achieve my big money goal resulting in “revenue shame” (that’s for a future post).
✶ I chided myself, at times, for not doing MORE–speaking more, doing more videos, being more visible on social media, sending more emails, attracting more clients, and on and on (ugh, so done with that old pattern!)
✶ And I tremendously suffered off & on with neck and shoulder pain (releasing that one, too).
What I discovered is: 1) It’s all connected (you think?) and 2) 2018 was my year of soulful realignment. A time to surrender like never before to my Inner Voice and what truly lights me up; release the fearful patterns; and KNOW and LIVE in Truth and as the presence of Love, no matter what.
So the journey continues, which leads me to my 2019 theme: SELF-TRUST
